Overview of the Fridge-Tag2L Digital Data Logger

The Berlinger Fridge-Tag2L is an extremely simple digital data logger built specifically for monitoring stored vaccines in a refrigerator. The Fridge-Tag2L doesn’t require any software, all setup is done using two buttons on the face of the device. When connected to a computer using the integrated USB plug the logger automatically creates a PDF data report showing up to 56 days worth of temperature data. The easy to read, large, LCD displays current temperature, time, recording status, and battery life. Additionally, you can view up to 30 days of high, low, and any alarms and their duration just with the click of a button. In addition to the visual alarm indictor there is an audible alarm, ensuring that temperature excursions don’t go missed. The Fridge-Tag2L uses a flat ribbon sensor cable that minimizes air gaps and includes a highly accurate sensor mounted inside a 7ml buffer bottle filled with a Biosafe glycol solution. The Fridge-Tag2L includes the data logger, sensor with buffer bottle, mounting accessories, and a 2-year calibration certificate by our accredited ISO/IEC 17025:2017 in-house calibration lab. The logger uses a non-replaceable battery that has a typical battery life of up to 3 years.

Customer Questions
Can the freezer version of the Fridge Tag be set with a lower alarm temp? In specifications it states no lower alarm temp. thanks.
Both versions of the Fridge-Tag2L come with their alarms and sample rates preset.  These settings can't be changed by the end user.  These loggers were designed specifically for monitoring vaccines in the VFC program so their settings are specific...
Can these unit be changed to read Fahrenheit?
Yes, you can set the temperature scale while setting up the device.
How much memory storage does FRIDGE-TAG2L have? I need a memory storage of at least 4000 readings.
There is a 30 day overview of data available on the display and the PDF report gives you data for 56 days. The logger can store approximately 16,000 recordings before it starts recording over the old data.
Does the Fridge-Tag2L able to send a message to coordinators phone to alarm them of a temp low/ high temp during closed hours? If Yes how many phone numbers can be linked to the data logger?
This logger doesn't have the capability to send out remote notifications.  If an alarm is triggered it will show a large "X" on the screen and beep until the alarm is cleared. If you require remote notifications by email or text we would suggest...
1. Can the Fridge-Tag unit be programmed to identify a specific refrigerator 2. do the batteries last 3 years?
The logger can't be programed with a custom identifier.  By default they use the serial number as the identifier on the report.  The battery on this logger is designed to last for the full calibration period which is three years.
Is there a way to clear/reset the history on the device? For example: if you recorded just a couple days worth of data and wanted to clear it and start over? Or does the device only reset after 2 months of data is collected?
Once the logger starts recording there is no way to clear the data other than to wait until it records over the old data you don't need anymore.  Each day's data is stored for 56 days.
does the Fridge Tag needs calibration?
These loggers come with a 3 year calibration certificate.  Once that expires the logger needs to be replaced.
So the Alarm State X is showing and a caution triangle what does this mean, it is reading in correct range? Help
The "X" and triangle symbol together represent an alarm that hasn't been reviewed or cleared.  For information on this please see video 5 labeled "What to do if there is an alarm".  The videos are located on the product page on the "Manual ...
Do you recycle my expired Fridge-Tag 2s from 2 years ago?
You are welcome to send it back to us for recycling or you can drop it off anywhere that accepts used electronics for recycling purposes. If sending it back to us please ship to: MicroDAQ.com Attn: Recycle 879 Maple Street Contoocook NH 03301
Where do i find the make model and manufacturer
The make of this particular logger is Berlinger and the model is either Fridge-Tag2L or Fridge-Tag2L-FZR depending on the version you select.
Can the time be set at regular time instead of military? If so, please send directions.
The logger can only display military time.
Can I use the fridge-tag 2 L (the yellow one) for the freezer ?
No.  Because each version is setup with alarms for either fridge or freezer temps they aren't interchangeable.
If this Frig-Tag 2L were to be used as a back-up, can a 2nd prob bottle be purchased? i.e. One to be kept in the refrig; one to be kept in the freezer? How much would an extra cost? Thanks.
The loggers can only accept a single input so you must purchase separate loggers for fridge and freezer applications.  Also, this particular logger is also available in a backup version which can be programed for either fridge or freezer use. ...
My logger is showing low battery, how do I change the battery in this or do I need to purchase new logger?
The battery on the Fridge-Tag2 and 2L are not replaceable.  Once the battery dies you will need to replace the logger.  The battery should last for the full calibration certificate duration of 2 years on the Fridge-Tag2 and 3 years on the Fridge...
Do the Fridge Tag 2L data loggers have audible alarms and isf so how do you us them? Thank you
The Fridge-Tag2L has an audible alarm.  It is activated by default so there is nothing you need to do to use it.  If the temperature rises above or drops below the set alarm threshold settings the alarm will sound.  The alarm will remain...
