Overview of the Dent Instruments PowerScout 3 HD Submeter

The Dent PowerScout 3 HD is a 3-channel, 3-phase power meter that offers increased measurement performance, industry-standard communications, and it’s offered in two form factors (DIN rail mount or wall mount). It is compatible with any of Dent’s internally shunted, 333 mV output split-core or RoCoil (Rogowski Coil) CTs. This is a perfect choice for tenant submetering in shopping malls, apartments, and offices.

The PowerScout HD series of meters are not designed to be standalone energy recorders. They need to be connected as a slave device to a data logger, Remote Terminal Unit (RTU), or a building management host network.

Customer Questions
Will this log data and store the information without connection to a PC and then able to download the information at a later date?
The PowerScout Series meters are not meant to be standalone energy recorders. They are designed to connect as a slave device to a data logger, Remote Terminal Unit (RTU), or building management host network. If you are looking for a standalone energy...
What end of line resistor would be used for this on BACnet?
Terminating resistors for RS-485 networks may or may not be required, depending on length of runs between devices, and number of devices on the network.  Unfortunately, Dent does not make any specific recommendations, as this is unique to each RS...
