How many days will the unit run on internal battery only? And how about with the external battery version?

The standard version of the logger will last for as long as 2 months and the extended battery version can last up to 2 years.  Please keep in mind that battery life will depend on environmental conditions, the frequency of shocks the device is subjected to, and device settings.
