It is clear that the unit can be instructed by the PC software to download/send the logger data via USB. 1) Is there a command set that a user (programmer) could use to query the logger via USB instead of using the provided PC software? 2) If connected by USB, does the logger require the battery power source? This logger requires the Lascar software to configure it and read out the data after the recording session is finished. You aren’t able to control it via a 3rd party command or software. The logger won’t work unless a battery is installed in it. While it will record while plugged into a PC it’s not really designed to be used that way.
