Overview of the LogTag UTRIX-16 Temperature Data Recorder

The LogTag UTRIX-16 is a multi-use temperature data logger that can generate a fully detailed PDF report without needing any software to download. The UTRIX-16 can store up to 16,000 temperature readings in memory and has a typical battery life of 2-3 years.  This device can monitor a temperature range of -30°C to +70°C (-22°F to +158°F) and features both green “OK” and red “Alert” LED indictors making it easy to quickly identify whether temperatures remained within range or not. The logger plugs directly into your computers USB port for easy configuration by the user allowing for a wide range of programable recording and alert conditions. LogTag Analyzer software also allows for more detailed analysis of downloaded data.

What is the warranty on the UTRIX 16 temperature data recorders.
All LogTag loggers come with a 1 year limited warranty against manufacturers defect.  Once activated there is no warranty on the battery or with regard to battery life.  I would suggest reviewing addition information about warranty located ...
Does this record the temperature of the room. or just the device it is hooked into?
This logger will record ambient air temperatures only at the location where the logger is placed.  The only time you would plug it into a computer is to configure the recording settings and to then download the data. 
Do these units come pre-calibrated?
No the Logtag UTRIX-16 Does not come pre-calibrated.  They can be calibrated by an Accredited Lab at the time of purchase.
What version of the software should I download for this specific LogTag model?
This logger can use either LogTag Analyzer version 2.9.4 or 3.0.8b.  We recommend using 3.0.8b as it's their newest platform. Both can be found on our software downloads page here - https://www.microdaq.com/software

Is this UTRIX-16 only PC compatible (not Mac) like the LogTag TRIX-8?
The software required to set up the logger is only PC compatible however once programed the PDF report file can be accessed on a Mac.
How do we know when the battery should be replaced? Is there an alert before the unit just stops working?

Are the UTRIX-16 recorders NIST certified?
We offer a NIST certified (ISO 17025:2017) calibration service as an optional service that can be added when purchasing the loggers.  The loggers do not come with a calibration certificate on their own.
