Overview of the HOBO Remote Monitoring Weather Station Kit
The LiCor HOBO RX3004-SYS-KIT-813 is a prebuilt remote monitoring weather station starter kit that combines the rugged data logging RX3000 data logger with temperature, humidity, and windspeed & direction sensors. Also included in the kit are mounting accessories, solar panel, and a solar radiation shield for the temperature sensor. This kit combines all the popular sensor parameters in an easy to use out-of-the-box kit. At the heart of the kit is the 15 channel RX3000 data logger which uses cellular connectivity allowing for instant access to site-specific environmental data anywhere, anytime over the internet. The included sensors only take up four channels leaving 11 available channels for expanding your station in the future. The Onset Smart Sensors are plug-and-play so all you need to do is plug them in and they are automatically recognized – no programing, wiring, or calibration necessary. This kit is also compatible with the HOBOnet Field Monitoring System which offers cost-effective scalability by adding wireless remote sensors to your station. The station is configured, and data viewed using HOBOware (free) or HOBOware Pro (paid) software. Just choose either the 2-meter or 3-meter tripod kit and you are ready to go!
